Cranberry Sauce

(serves 6 suitable for freezing)

8 oz cranberries
6 oz sugar
1/2 pint water

Put water and sugar in a saucepan and heat for a few minutes until the sugar is dissolved.
Add cranberries and heat rapidly for 2 minutes until the skins pop.
Simmer slowly to draw out the flavour for 10 minutes.

Serve hot or cold
