6 potatoes
sunflower oil
1 tablespoon plain flour
8 thick beef sausages
1 1/2 cups vegetable stock
50g margarine
2 tablespoons tomato sauce
2 onions, sliced
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1-2 tablespoons garam masala or curry powder
Fry the sausages in the oil and cut into slices.
Peel the potaoes, cut them into cubes and boil for 20 minutes until soft.
While the potatoes are boiling, heat margarine in a pan.
Add onion and stir till soft.
Add garam masala and plain flour, stir till bubbling.
Remove from heat; gradually stir in stock and add sausage slices.
Return to heat and stir till mixture is smooth.
Bring to the boil and stir till thickened.
Stir in tomato and worcestershire sauce, stir till heated through.
Mash the potatoes.
Serve sausage mixture poured over mashed potato.
