Rich Scones

8oz self raising flour
1.5oz margarine
1oz sugar
2 tablespoons sultanas
1 egg with milk to make up to 1/4 pint

Put flour in a bowl and rub in margarine.
Mix in sugar and sultanas.
Beat egg and milk together.
Add to dry ingredients and cut in with a knife to make a soft dough (no need to knead).
Turn onto a floured surface and roll or pat to 1/2 inch thick.
Cut into rounds.
Place on a greased baking sheet and bake at Gas 7 (220C) for 10 minutes.
When cool served buttered.
